• About Bruce

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.

I was waiting for an answer For a sign or for a call For something to reaffirm that this had meant something after all But all I heard was the waiting Daily traffic on the street Summer heat evolving Into winter sleet Silence had its reasons Too deep to comprehend Too many words and...

My friend Chris and I took an opportunity to visit our old friend Steve up at his family’s cabin in Westcliffe, Colorado, this last weekend. The opportunity bubbled up quickly, albeit a month ago, when an idea became three yes’s, and a near future date was set. Chris and Steve and I have all...

My trip took me principally to Lincoln, Nebraska, where I could join the rest of my family celebrating my niece Faith’s graduation from high school. Added into...

Day Trip: Mesita, Bibo, Moquino, Seboyeta

    by  •  • Roadies • 0 Comments

Early Sunday afternoon, I had some time, so I set out towards a sunny west, originally planning to visit El Morro and see Juan de Oñate’s cursive on Inscription Rock. After a few long glances at the landscapes off of I-40 around Mesita, I called an audible and thought I’d stick around in this...

I do not want to be your sunshine or your sunset. Let’s leave that to life, and the radiance of friendships and favorites, of unexpected moments, of daily delights. But let me be the afterglow, resonating the glory of each day, an amplifier of the blessed and beautiful in your life. — Back-of-envelope poetry...
