• POTD: Delilah Waits For A Treat

Since returning to work in the office full-time almost a month ago, I have made some new friends in the dogs that come and hang at the place. My boss Tim adopted his daughter’s dog, Jake, when she took a job overseas, and he frequently spends his day in our office. Another employee brings her nervous but friendly little lady, Delilah, into the office to hang out as well. Today, Jake was not in the office, but Delilah was, and after Tim left for the afternoon, Delilah, in a first that I’ve witnessed, came into our office, made her rounds smelling Jake’s sleeping pad and the floor, and then she decided to chill in the space. I thought she was just making herself comfortable, laying in the room with me present. Her owner corrected my assumption. “She’s just waiting for the guy that gives her pet jerky to come back.”

    About

A web programmer by day, I somehow still spend a lot of time thinking about relationships, God, and the significance of grace and love in daily events. I am old school in the sense that I believe in the reality of sin, and in the need of each human heart for deliverance to the Divine. I am one of those who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that you can find most answers to life's pressing issues in Him and His Word, the Bible. I ain't perfect, and a lot of the time I ain't good, but by God's grace and kindness, I am forgiven and free.
